Meet Mike
Your friend – who happens to know a lot about Thermodynamics.
Emmy, and two-time Edward R. Murrow award-winning Chief Meteorologist Mike Everett is that rare blend of person who can distill complex topics into terms that everyone can relate to and apply in their own lives.
His studies in meteorology, climatology, geology, geography and oceanography have brought him to one simple – but often controversial – conclusion: the earth is not simply a rock floating in space, but is instead a living, breathing organism that is part of a much larger one.
He holds degrees from Mississippi State University, The University of Central Florida and Eastern Florida State College.
His forecasting experience has been cross-country, with stints in Florida, Texas, Colorado, Southern California and Washington state, serving as Chief Meteorologist for two stations.
A gifted and animated speaker, his enthusiasm for all things climate and weather is infectious.
